大型原创音乐剧《愚公移山》在京首演

Original musical Yugong Removing Mountains premiered in Beijing

“无路难，开路更难……”随着激昂明亮的歌声响起，5月27日19时30分，大型原创音乐剧《愚公移山》在北京中央歌剧院正式公演。

At 7:30 p.m. on May 27, the China National Opera House located in Beijing witnessed the debut of the original musical named Yugong Removing Mountains.

愚公移山精神是中华优秀传统文化的重要标识。作为愚公移山故事的原发地，济源高度重视愚公移山精神的传承和弘扬，一直以来都把愚公移山精神作为济源的城市精神，以实际行动深入践行，并运用歌曲、舞蹈、戏曲、绘画、雕塑等多种艺术手段，不断赋予和展示其新的时代内涵。这次演出，也是国内首次以原创音乐剧的形式表现愚公移山精神。

The spirit of Yugong Removing Mountains has always been an indispensable part of the fine traditional Chinese culture. As the birthplace of the story of Yugong Removing Mountains, Jiyuan of Henan Province attaches great importance to the inheritance and promotion of the Yugong Spirit, and regards it as its city spirit. This city has enlivened the Yugong Spirit in the new era by way of presenting it in multiple artistic forms of song, dance, play, painting, sculpture, etc. It is also the first time in China to illustrate the spirit of Yugong in the form of an original musical.

剧中，演员以歌舞等不同形式，对愚公移山寓言故事和新时代王屋山下的群众在脱贫致富过程中的一系列感人故事进行了精彩呈现。值得一提的是，该剧突破固有的神话故事叙事模式，讲述了当代北大学子与古老神话中的人物相遇后，双方穿越时空，经过古老与当代、神话与现实、精神与载体的相互穿越和激情碰撞后，以弘扬愚公移山精神为线索，激励人们打造新生活，开拓新境界，阔步新时代；充分展示了已经融入中华民族血脉中的“咬定目标，苦干实干，锲而不舍，久久为功”的新时期愚公移山精神和中华儿女图强复兴的壮志雄心。

In the musical, performers acted out the fable of Yugong Removing Mountains and a series of touching stories happened in the Wangwu Mountain about people getting rid of poverty and becoming better off in a new era. Being different from the traditional narrative mode of merely telling an ancient myth, this musical presents an amazing story about a student from Peking University and the characters from the myth passing through time and space to meet each other. With promoting the Yugong Spirit as the clue, they aim to encourage people to create a new life, explore a new realm, and stride forward into a new era.This piece of work fully illustrates the Yugong Spirit of resilience and perseverance in a new era, as well as the Chinese people’s ambition of striving for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

记者看到，从剧情设置、道具布置到演员表演，每个细节都极为用心。服装设计干净简约，灯光美轮美奂，舞台移步换景，音乐大气磅礴，演员们的倾情表演不时博得观众阵阵掌声。音乐剧还吸引了外国友人观看，演出结束后，这些外国友人意犹未尽，热情地拉着演员们合影留念。

Every detail was designed well in the show. The costumes were clean and simple, the lighting was dazzlingand beautiful, and the music was powerful and magnificent. The actors have won rounds of applause from the audiences with their excellent acting skills. This musical also attracted many foreign audiences, and they all went up to take a photo with the actors when the show was over.

据悉，大型原创音乐剧《愚公移山》是2022年度河南省重点文艺创作项目，由济源产城融合示范区党工委宣传部、文化广电和旅游局出品，北京大学民族音乐与音乐剧研究中心创制。

The musical of Yugong Removing Mountains was a key literary and artistic project of Henan Province in 2022. It was produced by the Propaganda Department of the Party Working Committee and the Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism of Jiyuan Demonstration Area, and created by the National Music and Musical Research Center of Peking University.
