Pure Brightness (Chinese: 清明), the 5th solar term, falls on April 5th this year. It is the only solar term that is also an important traditional festival known as Qingming Festival. Qingming carries abundant cultural connotations; tomb sweeping and spring outings are the fundamental customs shared around the country.
