Folk Customs of the Chinese New Year③
From the 25th day of the twelfth lunar month, people begin their preparation of food for Spring Festival. Tofu is a must-have on the festival dining, and people will make it from the very beginning by themselves. The Chinese characters "腐" (tofu) and "福"(luck) are homophonic, thus making tofu presents the hope to bring good luck and fortune to people's home. (Hihenan/Zhang Rui)
