  Today's idiom:亡羊补牢(wáng yáng bǔ láo)

The idiom is from Strategies of the Warring States. During the Warring States Period, King Xiang of Chu State was dissipated and resisted expostulation. Then, he was defeated by the Qin State and driven to Chengyang City (now Xinyang City, Henan Province). Later, the King sent people to invite Zhuang Xin, a loyal official who had been expelled by him before. Zhuang said that it was not too late to mend the sheepfold after the sheep had escaped. Chinese people use it to describe that we should solve problems in time to avoid further losses.
